ADVERTISING POLICIES & GUIDELINES will accept only high quality ads from reputable advertisers, corporations, colleges, government departments, organizations, professional sporting teams, and international organizations such as the United Nations, FIFA, and IOC. 

Advertisements from governments promoting youth education, health, empowerment or social responsibility will be accepted.

All advertisements submitted or provided to websites and app must meet the high standards of quality and integrity expected by GTW users and the team.

Top Banner (728 x 90 Leaderboard):

Top banners are 728x90 pixels and should not exceed 35Kb in size. (They rotate randomly in a banner rotator and are displayed in the header of every page.)


Wide Skyscraper (160 x 600):

Wide Skyscraper banners are 160x600 pixels and should not exceed 35Kb in size.

(They rotate randomly in a banner rotator and are displayed on the right side of every editorial page.)

Banners should not be expandable, flickering, noisy, or disturbing in any way. 

Ad Specs and Guidelines

Ads in Main Listings – We sell ads on a Cost-per-week/Cost-per-month basis which appear in the main listings (like the Home Page and Subject Pages)

Featured Sites Ads – We sell ads in the “Featured Sites” area on a Cost-per-week/Cost-per-month basis.

Banners or Links using Google Adsense – You can advertise on by using Google Adsense. We offer several formats, including text, leaderboard, skyscraper/square/rectangle.



Regular advertisements are welcome, but we also encourage you to submit advertisements that are more interactive to make it more attractive for teens to “play” with the ads. Adding jingles to advertisement is always popular with teens.                                                                                                                                          



Guidelines and Restriction will show advertising that shows high standards of quality and integrity, is age appropriate, not misleading or deceptive.         

Products and/or services that will not be considered for advertisement on our website and App:

  1. Solicitation of personal information
  2. Survey or any other form of pop-ups, pop-unders, dialogue boxes (e.g., alerts)
  3. Alcoholic Beverages
  4. Drug-related Paraphernalia
  5. References to or promotion of tobacco or tobacco related products (including cigarettes, cigars, pipe tobacco and "smokeless tobacco")
  6. References to
  7. Lotteries
  8. References to or promotion of gambling
  9. We do not accept any content that promotes or makes reference to sex, nudity or pornography
  10. Ads must not contain or link to nudity, sexually explicit or illegal images or any reference to or link to an adult website
  11. Advertising that ridicule or attack an individual or group on the basis of age, color, national origin, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation or disability
  12. Religious Message or Content
  13. Offensive or hate speech or any content which is patently offensive to an individual or a group
  14. References to or glorification of human suffering, including rape, torture, or exploitation in a sexual or violent manner
  15. Advertising which promotes or accepts violence, crime, racism, bigotry, hatred, discrimination or obscenity of any kind against any group or individual
  16. References to or ads for fake documents, including identifications and diplomas
  17. Promotion of academic aids, including without limitation “test-taking” or paper-writing services
  18. Promotion of counterfeit or imitation designer goods
  19. Motion Pictures Rated "NC 17", "R" or "X" by the MPAA
  20. Motion Pictures not rated by the MPAA will not be shown
  21. Television shows rated “TV-MA” by the “TV Parental Guidelines”

These Advertising Guidelines are not exhaustive and are only examples of the applicable requirements and conditions for advertisements on websites. reserves the right to review all ads prior to acceptance and may request modifications to, reject or delete any advertisement, at any time, that does not measure up or meet our high standard and prestige at its sole discretion.
